looking around the ads on autotrader recently and one ad in particular caught my eye. 97 white holden combo in very good condition going for 3k. its something like a car van combo, not unlike the kangoos u see back home. anyways it was small (enough) to drive ard not looking like a clown in the city. and with space enough to put stuff to go camping in. it was pretty perfect actually and it got me calculating if i could afford to buy it. yes. with my meagre savings from work. i came up a lil short. but it still was very tempting. :S
so a few two days later i called the guy to ask about the mileage. cos it would be the deciding factor imho. expecting around 200 000kms on it but hoping for more like 150 000kms, one can imagine that i was pretty shocked to hear it had covered 530 000kms. heh. which... explains the low price for an otherwise 7-10k vehicle of that age. poof.
i'll keep cycling to work(and school) i spose. and keep dreaming. :)
but now i know a well maintained vehicle can go that far... ooooooooo :P

ju... i'd go with cycling for as long as i can. but i cant possibly cycle to go camping can i?!?! :P
